He was also an Attending Physician in the Division of Nutrition, Metabolism and Gastroenterology Head, Endoscopy Unit of University Hospital, Ulm, Germany. He was a physician for a year.

He also was an assistant member of the Lipoprotein and Atherosclerosis Research Program. This program was initiated by the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, which is situated in Oklahoma City, USA. He was a member of this program for the duration of about six years, starting from the year 1980.

From the years 1980 to 1986 he had a lot of successes. He was the trial physician in the Lipid Research Clinics. He specifically worked in the Coronary Primary Prevention Trial (LRC – CPPT) of the NIH at the Oklahoma Lipid Research Clinic, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
